Job process
We begin each project with a walkthru and review of the work scope.  This meeting includes the owner of Kraftwerks Sheet Metal & Slate, Inc., the crew and the customer.  This will insure that everyone understands the project and that the customer is familiar with the crew.  We are a small firm and try to inspect the project daily.  Sometimes we have appointment conflicts but are always available for questions and concerns to be answered.  After the project is complete we will have a final walkthru with the customer to confirm all items have been completed.

Full System Warranty
Kraftwerks Sheet Metal & Slate, Inc. will replace the failing areas and after a thorough inspection of all components provide a warranty on the entire roof system and drainage system.  An example of this would be if you have an existing tin roof we will clean it, repair it and then coat it.  We do not use "tar" or aluminum coating and call it "repaired".  We will replace the damaged areas and apply an elastomeric (rubberized) coating over the roof.  The product we use has been in use for over 25 years.  If you have a slate roof we replace all failing flashings, slate and improperly preformed repairs and then provide the warranty.  Please contact us for a sample of our warranty or just ask for an estimate because we will provide a copy with every proposal.

Repair Service
Sometimes the roof is fine except in one area, the budget won't allow major work or there are plans for a renovation in the future and there is a need for simple repair.  The failing area can be removed and replaced to restore the water-tight integrity.  We will still provide a thorough proposal so that you will know the furture work needed.  It is our goal to provide an informative and affordable service for everyone.

Custom sheet metal fabrication
Our shop is set up to fabricate custom skylights, historic skylights and ornamental work.  We do not buy gutter accessories, vent pipe collars, leader heads, etc.  Everything is made in our shop.

Inspections and Consulting
We provide an inspection report as part of our estimate.  All estimates are free and you will receive a bound proposal with all the needed information within days, not weeks, of your request.  Design ideas and details can be provide if you are adding on to an existing home.
